Special Thanks

A special thanks to the Gordon’s sons Todd Jr., Christian and Christopher Gordon, Abu Bake, Bruce Burch, Odessa Evans, Anthony Hubanks, Valencia Hilton, Cecil Hooker, Earl Hooker, Kenyatta Jennings, Donna Linder, Ottis Linder, Sonja Listenbee, Kimberley Morrison, Mike Otte, Mary Otte, Mubadaka Shams, Naser Shams, Joe Smith, Karen Smith, Sam Smith, for their continuing support.

Todd and Kathryn Gordon, Sr. founders of “City of Miracles” would like to thank God for great leadership skills and extraordinary vision in bringing the communities together for faith-based outdoor festivals. To God be the glory for the things he has done. The “City of Miracles”, formerly known as “Walnut Street Neighbors Association”, began in 1998 with the first back-to-school festival in Waukegan, IL. “City of Miracles” is a not-for-profit organization solely funded by the donations and operated by residents that share the Gordon’s concern for their community.

Over the past nine years our organization has received continual support from State and Local Government, local corporations and churches. To promote job opportunities, a drug-free community, and spiritual support through activities and information made available at the festivals. We have established long-term partnerships with some of the regions most promising organizations.

As the neighbors “City of Miracles” is an integral part of the community of Lake County, IL. The result from the festival is an extraordinary web of mutually beneficial relationships that help enrich the lives of so many people. All of the events are free of charge and we provide educational services for everyone in the family. Together we can reach more residents and continue to improve our neighborhoods by addressing the spiritual humanitarian needs of the people.

As we say good-bye to 2007 community festivals, we say hello to new opportunities for 2008, because the best is yet to come.
