Be A Volunteer

In any type of Not For Profit organization, you will find a special group of people that volunteer their time and money. As you may know, we have two resources, time and money.

God only gives us so much time and we need to use it for the right things. Some people do exactly that, they give their time and even dedicate their lives to helping others.

Of course it does happen, especially when you enjoy what you’re doing.

Getting things setup, serving food, cleaning up after it’s all over and all the behind the scenes things that are done, so many people do this, not for the recognition but because they just want to help others.

Please complete the form at the bottom of the page to volunteer for one of the following areas (This applies to all festivals):

1. Area - Set-Up (Friday) - Volunteers needed 20

Volunteer Jobs:
Unload supplies from truck
Set-up tents
Set-up signs
Set-up banisters
Set-up posters
Set-up picnic tables
Set-up trash cans

2. Area - Set-Up (Saturday Morning) - Volunteers needed 20 -
Time: 6:00 am - until everything is set up

Volunteer Jobs:
Unload truck
Set-up tables
Set-up chairs
Set-up road blocks
Set-up tent for stage
Set-up stage
Set-up sound system

3. Area - Food Tent Volunteers (Saturday Morning) - Volunteers needed 15-20 people - Start Time: 7:00 am

Volunteer Jobs:
Unload Truck for Food Tent
Cook
Servers
Corn Roaster
Help keep things stocked
Break boxes down and remove for trash pick-up

4. Area - Clean Up Crew throughout the Festival (Saturday) - Volunteers needed 20-30 people - Start Time: 7:00 am

Volunteer Jobs:
Go up and down the street picking up trash
Emptying trash cans
Replacing trash bags
Break down boxes and tying them up

5. Area - Information Table/Outreach Booth (Saturday) - Volunteers needed 4-6 people - Start Time: 7:00 am

Volunteer Registration
Vendor Registration
Parade Registration (Walnut Street Festival Only)

6. Area - Registration Booth (Saturday) - Volunteers needed 10-12 people (rotating) - Start Time: 7:00 am

Volunteer Jobs:
Tech. for technical difficulties - Morning
Tech. for technical difficulties - Afternoon
2 Data Entry - English or Spanish Speaking - People Rotating
2 Assistants to help with forms and keep order in lines - English or Spanish Speaking
Pass out supplies - People Rotating

7. Area - Stage Coordinator (Saturday) - Volunteers needed 2-4 people (rotating) - Start Time: 7:00 am

Volunteer Jobs:
Only allowing the people who are on the program on the stage.
Need one person on each end of the stage.
The coordinators will have a list of people who will be allowed on stage and what time.
Will have booth at stage so speakers and performers can check in.
2 Volunteers for the Morning and 2 for the Afternoon

8. Area - Break Down Crew (Saturday) - Volunteers needed 50 -
Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Load truck
Break down tents
Break down signs
Break down banisters
Break down posters
Break down tables
Break down chairs
Break down road blocks
Break down tent for stage
Break down stage
Break down sound system
Empty trash cans
Go up and down the street pick up trash

You can volunteer to just set up and break down if you would like. You would not need to stay all day. You would come early, leave and return at close of festival.

9. Area - Children’s Area (Saturday) - Volunteers needed 25-30 -
Time: 7:00 am

Moonwalkers
Cotton Candy
Snow Cones
Popcorn
Games for kids - Ring Toss and Bean Bag Toss
Floaters
  - Making sure volunteers have enough to drink
  - Making sure volunteers have enough to eat
  - Making sure volunteers have a break (time to relax)
